Temaet var givet på forhånd: "My belowed country, my belowed school".
"Nearly 5,000 soldiers will march past the nation's leaders. They will be grouped partly according to height, with no variation of more than six centimeters. They will march at an exact pace of 116 steps a minute and it will take each column one minute and six seconds to march past the top leaders at the main podium."
Og så til fremtidens parade-deltagere:
"A wonderful school day"
"I am happy because I have a lovely school. I am proud because I have a lovely country! Every morning my school is full of vigor when the sun shines. Listen! The small birds are twittering in the trees. Look! The willow leaves are dancing in the breeze. What a beautiful picture (...) When the school bell rings, the campus becomes quiet. A moment later, the sounds of reading come from classrooms. How wonderful they are! How lucky I am to study in such an environment. I love my school! However, what makes me more proud is that I have a lovely country - China. My lovely country has a vast land and rich mineral resources with a civilization of 5,000 years. This year is my country's 60-year-old birthday. I want to study hard in my lovely school. When I grow up, I want to make contributions to my country."
"Chinese spirit"
"Every monday morning when all teachers and students of our school are watching our national flag and school flag rising up, I feel deeply proud. I'm proud of being a Chinese. One of the most ancient countries in the world, China shines in various fields in modern times. She has many outstanding scientists and inventors whose creations have benefited several generations (...)"
"My three families"
"I have three families - my warm home, my belowed school and my belowed country. I love my warm home because I have my selfless mom and dad. My school is another belowed familly. In her arms we are very happy. I love her as deeply as I love my teachers who are kind, humorous and knowledgeable. I love her as deeply as I love my classmates who are friendly, honest and helpful. I love her as deeply as I love the flowers and the plants in our school. How beautiful they are! I also love the vast land whose name is China (...)! I love her as deeply as I love our people who are brave and united (...)."
"A bright future"
(...) In the past 20 years China has been making dramatic progress as an economic and national power, and has attracted attention from all around the world. In 2008, China successfully hosted the 29th Olypic Games, far beyond the imagination of the rest of the world. During the Beijing Olympics, the gold medals achieved by Chinese athletes outnumbered any other country. As a Chinese student, I take great pride in my country (...)."
"A brand-new look for China"
"(...) the 29th Olympic Games were held in the capital of China, Beijing. Everyone who watched the opening ceremony was amazed by the fantastic performances, suprising fireworks and the incredible talent of the performers. Chinese athletes showed their courage and determination, winning 51 gold medals and rocking the whole world. Since 1949, China has become more and more unbreakable (...)."
